The Basics
7 Letters
You get 7 letters arranged in a honeycomb. The center letter is special.
Make Words
Form words of 4+ letters. You can reuse letters as many times as you want.
Climb the Ranks
Score points to advance from Beginner all the way to Queen Bee.
The Rules
Center Letter Required
Every word must include the center (yellow) letter.
Minimum 4 Letters
Words must be at least 4 letters long.
Only Given Letters
You can only use the 7 letters shown. But each letter can be reused.
Scoring
4-letter words
1 point each.
Longer words
1 point per letter. A 7-letter word earns 7 points.
Pangrams
Words using all 7 letters earn a bonus of 7 extra points. Finding pangrams is key to reaching the top rank.
Ranks
Beginner → Queen Bee
Your rank is based on what percentage of the maximum score you've reached. The ranks are: Beginner, Good Start, Moving Up, Good, Solid, Nice, Great, Amazing, Genius, and Queen Bee (100%).
Tips
- Always start with the center letter to anchor your thinking
- Try common prefixes and suffixes (-ING, -TION, RE-, UN-)
- Remember: letters can repeat in a word
- Look for the pangram early — it's worth the most points
- Shuffle the outer letters if you're stuck — new arrangements spark new ideas
