How to Play Minicross Blocks
Drag letter blocks onto the grid to form valid words in every row. Part word puzzle, part spatial jigsaw.
The Basics
Look at the Grid
The grid has empty cells waiting to be filled. Some cells may already contain letters as starting clues.
Drag Blocks onto the Grid
Select a block from the tray and place it on the grid. Each block contains one or more letters that fill consecutive cells in a row.
Complete All Words
When every block is placed correctly, all rows form valid words and the puzzle is solved.
The Rules
Blocks, Not Letters
You place multi-letter blocks, not individual letters. Each block fits into a specific position in a row.
Rearrange Freely
Tap a placed block to lift it back to the tray. Try different positions until everything fits.
Every Block Must Be Used
The puzzle is complete only when every block from the tray has been placed on the grid.
Strategies
Start with Long Blocks
Larger blocks have fewer possible positions. Place them first to anchor the grid.
Spot Common Patterns
Look for familiar letter combinations like TH, ING, or TION to figure out which word a row might be.
Look for Unique Letters
Blocks with uncommon letters like Q, X, or Z usually have only one valid placement.
Work Row by Row
Once you have a word partially filled, focus on finding the remaining blocks for that row.
